Pine Cone Prep Academy FAQ

Each student that comes into Pine Cone Prep-Academy is evaluated by our team and then has an individual plan designed just for them.

The curriculum is designed based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and then tailored to each individual student using the information gathered from their assessment, Individualized Education Program (IEP) and finally by matching the particular scope and sequence from Fort Bend and Stafford Independent School District (ISD).

As in accordance with Fort Bend and Stafford ISD your student will receive a progress report and report card.

The center prepares students from K-5th to transition educational, physically and emotionally into a public school.

The center schedule runs parallel with Fort Bend ISD elementary schools and is open from 7:50-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

According to the TEKS your student’s educational life will be cultivated around reading, writing, math, science and social studies.  In addition, your student will learn adaptive skills to prepare them for life.

Each student and staff member is expected to wear a facial face mask throughout the day, and the center practices daily disinfecting and sanitizing measures to ensure your student is protected.

We are excited to welcome your student into our center.  We ask that each potential student’s parent fill out a registration form and interest sheet then our Educational Director will get back with you directly to discuss the possibilities.

Yes, the teachers and assistant teachers at our center are highly qualified by Texas standards and are here to provide the best care to your student.

Each student upon entry into the center is assigned an individual Behavior Improvement Plan (BIP) that allows our staff to track their behavior and then create rewards for your student as they reach their behavior goals.

Students will be asked to provide their own lunch and snacks, but we do have a very accessible fridge that is available for the students use.   In addition, on special occasion snacks will be provided for our student with the parents’ permission.
